Commission on adaptation supports assistant to Yuri Bitsuev
Zhamal Tumenov, a resident of Nalchik, has explained that he provided assistance to Yuri Bitsuev, one of the militant leaders of Kabardino-Balkaria, because of fear for his family members. Members of the Kabardino-Balkarian commission on adaptation of former militants decided to ask the court not to deprive Zhamal Tumenov of liberty.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late June, the case concerning the involvement of Zhamal Tumenov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, in a unit of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia, was sent to the court. According to investigators, in September 2015, Zhamal Tumenov "performed the duties to supply militants with money, to transport them, and to store weapons and ammunition."
Zhamal Tumenov has told the members of the commission on adaptation that he is a surgeon by education. According to him, "his life collapsed overnight after the meeting with Yuri Bitsuev".
The criminal case against Zhamal Tumenov is to be considered by the North-Caucasian District Military Court.
Let us remind you that the commission under the Kabardino-Balkarian leader to promote the adaptation of former militants was established on January 24, 2012.
