Consideration of Igor Trunov's claim against removal of his advocate status postponed till November 30

In Moscow, a court has postponed consideration of the claim filed by Igor Trunov, well-known for his defence of the interests of the victims of the terror act in Domodedovo and the Dubrovka Theatre Centre, about the decision to deprive him of his status of advocate. According to the court's decision, the plaintiff should first get acquainted with the evidence of the defendant.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Lefortovo Court of Moscow has scheduled for today the consideration of the claim field by Igor Trunov. In his claim, the advocate asks to cancel the decision of the Qualification Commission of the Bar Association on presence in his actions (inaction) of violations, as well as the decision of the Council of the Moscow Region Advocates' Chamber to deprive him of the status of advocate. Besides, Igor Trunov has asked the court to restore his membership in the Bar Association.

On July 12, the Qualification Commission of the Bar Association claimed "a disciplinary offense in the Igor Trunov's actions." According to Igor Trunov, the Qualification Commission made such a decision after he had voiced a statement to journalists about the challenges of Russian advocates. On September 21, the Council of the Moscow Region Advocates' Chamber deprived Igor Trunov of his status of advocate for "violation of standards of professional ethics."

The hearing was rescheduled for November 30, the "RAPSI" (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information) reports.
