In Adygea, ecologists report on discharge of toxic wastes from pig-breeding farm

The information about the fact that the waste products of the agro-industrial complex "Kievo-Zhuraki" are discharged into water reservoirs of the Teuchezhsk District of Adygea has been directed to the "Rosprirodnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Supervising the Nature) after an ecological raid. This was reported by Valery Brinikh, the chairman of a branch of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Valery Brinikh is the author of the article "The Silence of the Lambs" describing the activities of the pig-breeding farm "Kievo-Zhuraki". The article was recognized as an extremist material on the basis of the assessment of an expert form the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), who saw in the article's title an insulting comparison of residents of the Teuchezhsk District with the sheep.

On June 13, at the facilities of the pig-breeding farm, ecologists discovered serious violations of environmental and sanitary-veterinary legislation in the field of waste management, reports Valery Brinikh.

On September 3, the ecologists from the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation carried out a new raid and noticed that the violations had not been eliminated.

According to Valery Brinikh, the ecologists saw how workers of the pig-breeding farm poured seeds of maize with sticky brown muck with manure odour.

During the raid, the ecologists have also recorded mortality of pigs.
