MIA refuses to initiate new criminal case against Valery Brinikh

The authenticity of the statement made by a female resident of Adygea that ecologist Valery Brinikh collects bribes from local entrepreneurs is not confirmed. That was reported by the ecologists himself.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Valery Brinikh was charged with disseminating extremist material, since the court had found extremist his article "The Silence of the Lambs" about the environmental pollution in Adygea by a local pig-breeding complex of the "Kievo-Zhuraki Agro-Industrial Complex."

On August 3, Valery Brinikh was summoned to the Prosecutor's Office of Maikop for explanations concerning the complaint filed by citizen S. R. Teuchezh. In her complaint, the woman has stated that Valery Brinikh carried out "independent ecological control" in the region and in case of violations extorts bribes from businessmen.

The investigation was carried out. As a result, it turned out that the complaint was false, since "citizen Teuchezh did not file any complaints."

Valery Brinikh has associated the incident with his intention to take part in the elections to the State Duma and the Parliament of Adygea.
