Mother of a resident of Ingushetia reports beating him up by the police personnel
On February, 1, a group of young guys in Ingushetia who violated road regulations were detained by the personnel of Malgobek Department of Interior Affairs. One of them, Akraman Chakhkiev, was beaten up by the policemen on the way to the municipal police department, his mother Roza Chakhkieva states.

Swedish authorities intend to deport to Russia Emilkhan Sadaev, the former ally of Aslan Maskhadov, President of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. A Committee for regulations of land use and development with the Mayor's office of Sochi held public hearings on development of the health resort. Activists of ecologic and non-governmental organizations refused to participate in the discussion. According to Chief Architect of the city, the hearings passed within legal boundaries.
