ICRF: murder of head of Dagestani Teletl village could be revenge of IAF members

Officials from the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for Dagestan do not rule out that the murder of Khalid Kebedov, the head of the village of Teletl, involves members of subversive and terrorist groupings operating in the territory of the republic. Khalid Kebedov could be murdered for informing agents of secret services about involvement of some villagers in illegal armed formations (IAFs) operating in the territory of the republic. This was reported by a source from the investigating authorities.

Let us remind you that, the body of Khalid Kebedov, a 47-year-old leader of the village of Teletl of the Shamil District, was discovered at his home on December 6 at about 11:20 p.m. The ICRF's Department for the Republic of Dagestan has instituted the criminal case on the grounds of elements of crimes under Part 1 of Article 105 (murder) and Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal arms traffic) on the fact of the murder of Khalid Kebedov, the head of the village of Teletl of the Shamil District, committed on December 6. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent at the ICRF's Department for Dagestan.

"We consider the priority version to be a revenge of members of a subversive and terrorist grouping. We’re investigating the circumstances of the incident. No one has been detained yet," stated Rasul Temirkhanov, Senior Assistant of the Chief of the Dagestani ICRF's Department for Media Relations.
