Court extends arrest of Chechen native Khasan Edilkhanov for two months, "Kommersant" report

Azerbaijani police: teenager wounded on Armenian-Azerbaijani border
As stated by the Agstafa District Police Department of Azerbaijan, the 16-year-old Kyamran Imran oglu Tagiev was wounded in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict zone as a result of a ceasefire violation by the Armenian party. Resident of Makhachkala claims being forced to give DNA assay

Roundtable in Grozny suggests putting NCFD representatives into conflict settlement group in Ukraine

After August events in South Ossetia, hundreds of locals and refugees continue living in ruined and dilapidated houses
Today, six years after the outbreak of the warfare in South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, the capital, is gradually erasing the scars of war. According to the local Ministry of Construction, over 400 new houses have been built since, and over 800 were repaired. Some of the locals, who lost their homes, received flats in new micro-districts. However, until now, in Tskhinvali, some residents are living in ruined houses; and the problem of refugee is still painful.

GIBDD Deputy Chief assassinated in Makhachkala
This morning, Temirkhan Salikhov, the Deputy Chief of the Makhachkala Road Police (known as GIBDD), was shot dead in the yard of his house. South Ossetia commemorates victims of 2008 conflict
On August 7, South Ossetia began commemorative events on the sixth anniversary of the 2008 conflict. In the morning on August 7, they laid wreaths to the Worship Cross, next to the barracks of the Russian peacekeeping battalion, which were burned down in August 2008.
