HRC "Memorial" expands list of political prisoners up to 45 names
On August 11, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" published a new updated list of persons recognized as political prisoners. At present, the list has been expanded from 40 up to 45 persons, including, in particular, Ruslan Kutaev, the President of the Assembly of Peoples of the Caucasus.

The Council of Europe (CoE) and Azerbaijani authorities have agreed to re-establish a working group to address the release of persons recognized as political prisoners by local human rights defenders. Rashid Magomedov suspected of arms possession arrested in Dagestan
Rashid Magomedov, a resident of the Kizilyurt District, who is suspected of illegal possession of weapon, was arrested by the Court for one month, reported an official from the Kizilyurt District Court. Sapiyat Magomedova, an advocate of the arrested man, treats the Court's decision as unlawful and the court documents in the case as falsified.
