These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to the law enforcement bodies, all the victims were suspected members of the armed underground. Of them, four were killed in Dagestan and three in Ingushetia.

Special and counterterrorist operations

On October 12, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the town of Karabulak and in a number of villages of the Nazran District of Ingushetia, including Ekazhevo, Plievo, Barsuki, Gazi-Yurt, and Yandare. In two private houses in the village of Gazi-Yurt, law enforcers blocked suspected members of an illegal armed formation (IAF). In the course of the shootout, three members of IAFs were killed. According to the preliminary information, they were members of the "Nazran" criminal grouping. Two of the killed men were identified as 25-year-old Aslan Dyshnoev and 28-year-old Magomed Pliev from the federal wanted list.

Four residents of Ingushetia were detained for the check of their involvement in aiding and abetting the IAF. On October 13, an improvised explosive device (IED) with power of about 10 kg of TNT equivalent was found in a VAZ-2114 car. On October 13, the CTO legal regime was cancelled in the Nazran District of Ingushetia and Karabulak.

According to local residents, the special activities of law enforcers were concentrated in the village of Kvanada, and then the law enforcers moved to the nearby forest. The local residents reported that the law enforcers took away from the village the man whose son was hiding from the law enforcement bodies. On October 18, the CTO legal regime was cancelled.

On October 15, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the territory of the Derbent District of Dagestan. Law enforcers organized searches for members of a local militants' grouping, involved in a number of crimes, including the murder of the fortuneteller and her family members in September.

On October 17, the CTO legal regime was introduced in three villages of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, including Batayurt, Novy Kurush, and Sadovoe and within the territory between them.
