On October 12-18, at least 8 persons suffered in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of October 12-18, 2015, at least 8 persons suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, seven persons were killed, and one person was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
According to the law enforcement bodies, all the victims were suspected members of the armed underground. Of them, four were killed in Dagestan and three in Ingushetia.
Special and counterterrorist operations
On October 12, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the town of Karabulak and in a number of villages of the Nazran District of Ingushetia, including Ekazhevo, Plievo, Barsuki, Gazi-Yurt, and Yandare. In two private houses in the village of Gazi-Yurt, law enforcers blocked suspected members of an illegal armed formation (IAF). In the course of the shootout, three members of IAFs were killed. According to the preliminary information, they were members of the "Nazran" criminal grouping. Two of the killed men were identified as 25-year-old Aslan Dyshnoev and 28-year-old Magomed Pliev from the federal wanted list.
Four residents of Ingushetia were detained for the check of their involvement in aiding and abetting the IAF. On October 13, an improvised explosive device (IED) with power of about 10 kg of TNT equivalent was found in a VAZ-2114 car. According to the preliminary information of law enforcers, the IED belonged to the members of the armed underground killed in the special operation. On October 13, the CTO legal regime was cancelled in the Nazran District of Ingushetia and Karabulak.
On October 12, the CTO legal regime was cancelled in the village of Gimry of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, where law enforcers launched a special operation on October 10.
On October 13, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the territory of the Tsumada District of Dagestan. According to local residents, the special activities of law enforcers were concentrated in the village of Kvanada, and then the law enforcers moved to the nearby forest. The local residents reported that the law enforcers took away from the village the man whose son was hiding from the law enforcement bodies. On October 18, the CTO legal regime was cancelled.
On October 15, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the territory of the Derbent District of Dagestan. Law enforcers organized searches for members of a local militants' grouping, involved in a number of crimes, including the murder of the fortuneteller and her family members in September.
On October 17, the CTO legal regime was introduced in three villages of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, including Batayurt, Novy Kurush, and Sadovoe and within the territory between them. In the course of the special operation, a shootout occurred between law enforcers and suspected militants. As a result, four men were killed. The deceased men are identified as 28-year-old Alkhas Sardarov, Rasul Sardarov, Yasim Batraev, and Djumart Shikhragimov. A Russian FSB special forces fighter was wounded during the armed clash. The CTO legal regime was cancelled on October 17.
Detentions
On October 10, Patakh Arumagomedov, Gusein Shikhamirov, and Gairbek Khapizov, three residents of the village of Gimry of the Untsukul District of Dagestan were detained in the course of the CTO, and their houses were searched. The detainees are "involved in the case as persons suspected of aiding and abetting militants."
On October 13, during the operational activities in Grozny, law enforcers detained a suspected accomplice of a grouping of militants, destroyed in the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny on October 8. One more suspected member of the criminal grouping is wanted, reports a source from the Dagestani law enforcement bodies.
Disappearance
At night of September 23, Rashid Magomedov, a resident of the Botlikh District of Dagestan, left home in his black Lada Priora car. Since that time, his whereabouts is unknown. Rashid Magomedov is a disabled person: he lost his left hand. In 2012, Rashid Magomedov was registered at the police station as a follower of Salafism. Family members of Rashid Magomedov suggest that he could be again detained by law enforcers, and they filed complaints about the Rashid's disappearance to the Botlikh ROVD (District Interior Division) and to the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
