CTO legal regime cancelled in Khasavyurt District
In three villages in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, where law enforcers carried out a special operation, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime cancelled.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, the CTO legal regime was introduced within a part of the territory of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. Law enforcers conducted a special operation in the territory between the villages of Batayurt, Novy Kurush, and Sadovoe, as a result of which they killed four persons. Of them, according to law enforcers, two men were suspected of killing the Imam of the mosque in the village of Novy Kurush. According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the deceased men were members of the "Khasavyurt" criminal grouping. A FSB fighter was wounded in the armed clash.
All the operational activities carried out in the villages of Batayurt, Novy Kurush, and Sadovoe are completed, the "Chernovik" (Draft) reported with reference to an official from the operational headquarters for Dagestan.
