Relatives of Dagestani resident cannot locate him
Since September 22, relatives of Rashid Magomedov, a resident of the Botlikh District, cannot locate him.
At night of September 22, Rashid Magomedov left the village of Andi, and since that time, his whereabouts is unknown. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Akhmed Magomedov, a brother of the disappeared man.
According to him, Rashid Magomedov is a disabled person: he has no left hand, since he lost it as a child in a road traffic accident. According to Akhmed Magomedov, since 2012, Rashid Magomedov is registered at the police station as a follower of Salafism.
"In October 2012, he was detained at a checkpoint in the Khasavyurt District. He was detained for no reason. When they searched his car, they found rubber boots and suggested he was transporting the boots [for suspected militants]. Then, the law enforcers released them. However, in the same year, he was registered at the police station," Akhmed Magomedov said.
According to relatives of Rashid Magomedov, he could be again delayed by law enforcers. "However, we filed complaints on the Rashid's disappearance to the Botlikh ROVD (District Interior Division) and the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). They have not yet instituted a criminal case on his disappearance, but they have promised to do that," reported the brother of the disappeared man.
An official from the Botlikh ROVD has reported that the relative of Rashid Magomedov actually filed a complaint on his disappearance.
