Social network users demand from Chechen authorities to hold explanatory talks with fashion models

Chechen authorities should hold explanatory talks with fashion models and girls in tight clothes, social network users have stated after the Minister, Isa Ibragimov, reprimanded six bloggers for their "cheekiness" and called on young people to avoid indecent behaviour.

Isa Ibragimov, the Chechen Minister for Physical Education, Sports and Youth Policy, has held an explanatory conversation with bloggers from Chechnya about the inadmissibility of "cheeky behaviour that discredits the nation's honour," the "Chechnya Today" News Agency has reported. The Minister has stressed that such actions will be strictly punished in accordance with the law of the Chechen society.

Some social network commentators have called for expanding the practice of explanatory conversations. "When will they explain to the girls who wear tight clothes?" the user hava_baikhaeva has asked.

"It's high time – many bloggers behave inappropriately ... It's embarrassing to watch," the user khatuev_lema has noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in November 2023, Ibragimov reprimanded the bloggers, Askhab Tamaev and Arbi Emiev, for "their behaviour unworthy of Chechens." The reason for the prophylactic talk could have been posting of videos with obscene language or of ads of an online casino.
