In NCFD, Dagestan registers largest number of new coronavirus-infected patients

By 10:45 a.m. Moscow time, in Northern Caucasus, 391 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered within 24 hours, including 119 in Dagestan, the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) reports. Dagestan still leads in the total number of coronavirus-infected people in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

In other regions of the NCFD, the number of new infection cases is lower: in Kabardino-Balkaria – 80, in North Ossetia – 72, in Ingushetia – 46, in the Stavropol Territory – 34, in Chechnya – 28, and in Karachay-Cherkessia – 12, the "Rospotrebnadzor" reports on its official website.

Today, the same data have been posted on the government-run website "Stopkoronavirus.ru". According to the released table, out of 9399 cases of coronavirus infection in the NCFD, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people (2772) was registered in Dagestan.

Like on May 10, North Ossetia stays in the second place. By today, the republic has registered 1647 confirmed cases of the coronavirus infection. The positions of other regions of the NCFD in the list also did not change. Meanwhile, by May 11, in Kabardino-Balkaria, tests for the coronavirus infection were confirmed as positive for 1325 patients, in Ingushetia – 1245, in the Stavropol Territory – 1084, in Chechnya – 787, and in Karachay-Cherkessia – 539.
