On March 2-8, 2020, one person fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of March 2-8, 2020, one person was killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. No wounded were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The deceased man was a suspected member of the armed underground in Ingushetia.

Special and counterterrorist operations

On March 4, a suspected militant was killed during a special operation conducted in the village of Alkun in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia. According to the law enforcement bodies, the suspect had weapons, food, and a sleeping bag with him. The special operation in the Alkun village became the first armed incident in Ingushetia since early 2020 and the fourth in the past 12 months

On March 6, law enforcers conducted a new raid in the area of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala. No information about detainees was reported.
