Azerbaijan claims sniper shelling attacks in Karabakh conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 22 times within 24 hours, including from sniper rifles, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

In April 2016, after the escalation of the Karabakh conflict, the parties announced a truce, but the confrontation did not stop.

The ceasefire was violated, including with the use of sniper rifles, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD reported. The positions of Azerbaijani troops were shelled from the territory of the Noyemberyan District of Armenia and from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website.
