Azerbaijan claims machine-gun shelling in conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 20 times, including those stationed in two villages, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

Earlier, on November 14, Azerbaijan reported shelling attacks on three pre-border villages, counting 21 ceasefire violations within the past 24 hours.

After the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in April 2016, the parties agreed on a ceasefire, but the confrontation did not stop. During the first two years of the ceasefire, shelling episodes in the conflict zone were recorded daily.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the country's army in the villages of Kemerli of the Gazakh District region and Zamanly of the Gadabay District came under fire.
