Air forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey to hold joint military exercises

On September 2-16, the "TurAz Qartalı-2019" military exercises will be held in Azerbaijan, and they will involve up to 30 aircrafts of the two countries.

The military exercises will be held according to the plan of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported. During the military exercises, different tasks will be trained, including the destruction of ground targets from the air.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the "TurAz Qartalı-2017" military exercises involving about 30 combat aircrafts and helicopters took place in Azerbaijan on September 18-30, 2017. On May 1-3, 2019, the Azerbaijani-Turkish tactical exercises "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk-2019" were held in Azerbaijan.
