According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", in the whole of Dagestan, the incident in Toturbiykala was the sixth attack on law enforcers since the start of the year.

On September 13, on the federal highway between the villages of Kostek and Chontaul, law enforcers were shelled by the driver of the car that they wanted to inspect. According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the man was killed by return fire.
