Sochi teacher complains of dismissal after shooting a video about depletion in school

Elena Nosova, a school teacher from Sochi, went to court and demanded to reinstate her in position. The teacher associates her dismissal with the fact that she posted on the Internet her video about poor condition of one of the classrooms in the school.

Teacher Elena Nosova has used the SMS-service to report her dismissal to the "Caucasian Knot". The teacher believes she is being persecuted for protecting the rights of schoolchildren.

Elena Nosova has noted that she worked as a teacher since September 1, 2016, and she got no reprimands until December 2017, when her video was posted on the Internet.

A video posted on YouTube shows a hardly hinged door to a classroom. In the room itself, desks are covered with scratches and sketches, and several chairs have no backs. One of the chairs has a torn-off seat, and the plaster on the wall collapsed.

According to Elena Nosova, she repeatedly drew the attention of the school administration to the fact that the places for children and teachers were poorly equipped. The school classes include too many pupils, and that fact reduces the quality of education, and teachers receive low salaries.

However, the teacher has noted that a reaction to the video was in negative responses from parents of her pupils gathered against her in December 2017. So, two women complained that Elena Nosova allegedly demanded from their children to field a written complaint to the school principal about the lack of desks and chairs for all pupils in the classroom.

Elena Nosova argues that all her activities were directed only to protection of the interests of children and teachers.
