Verdict to Dagestani law enforcer for ritual murders upheld

The appellate instance has denied four complaints against the verdict passed to a former policeman in Dagestan convicted under the case of customized and ritual murders.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 18, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court returned the case of the Dagestan ex-policeman Arsen Bairambekov back to first-instance court.

Bairambekov was sentenced to 13 years and 2 months in colony on charges of contract killings of two entrepreneurs and ritual murders of four homeless people, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported. The psycho-psychiatric examination declared him sane.

The appeal court has denied the appeals of Bairambekov, his lawyer and two casualties’ relatives, said a source from the court.
