Native of Georgia declared killed in Iraq

Mukhmad Bagakashvili, a 25-year-old native from the Pankisi Gorge, has perished in the Middle East in the aviation attack on the positions of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia, Georgian mass media have reported.

Mukhmad Bagakashvili came from the village of Koreti in the Pankisi Gorge. He died about two weeks ago in Syria, the "Georgia Online" reports referring to "Kviris Palette".

Mate Kavtarashvili, the deputy head of the administration of the Akhmeta Sistrict, has specified that Bagakashvili was killed by an air strike in Iraq, where he had fought for six years for militants.

Mr Kavtarashvili has added that Bagakashvili was married to a Syrian woman and had two children.

According to his story, about 25 people from Georgia perished in Syria and Iraq, the "Sputnik-Georgia" reports.
