In Dagestan, law enforcers release five persons detained during protests against "Platon" system

Five truck drivers were released from a police station after the protest action held in the vicinity of the Dagestani village of Tukhchar. Six other protestors are still being kept at the police station. This was reported by a father of one of the detainees.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 27, Russian truck drivers, including in the south of Russia, resumed their mass protests against the "Platon" system. About 80 truck drivers carried out a strike in front of the village of Tukhchar in the Novolak District of Dagestan. On April 5, the police asked them to leave the land on which they arranged a rally. When the protesters refused to leave the place, the police used force against them.

A father of a truck driver reported 11 detainees. According to him, he did not succeed in receiving explanations regarding his son's detention.

The press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported that they have no information concerning the detention of truck drivers.

On April 5, it became known that law enforcers released Rustam Mallamagomedov, the coordinator of the protests of Dagestani truck drivers, detained in Moscow. He was released from the police station without any charge, the "OVD-Info" reports with reference to advocate Valentin Pyshkin.
