NKR accuses Azerbaijan of shelling Talish

As stated by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Azerbaijani militaries have shelled from cannons and machine guns the contact line, including the territory of the village of Talish.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in the morning Azerbaijan has accused the Armenian party of 70 acts of shelling their positions, while the NKR stated 75 ceasefire violations by Azeri militaries within the last 24 hours.

During an exacerbation of the Karabakh conflict in April 2016, the village of Talish was exposed to artillery fire, which destructed the school, kindergarten, hospital and over 30% residential houses. The NKR’s authorities expect that this spring villagers will start returning to their houses.

Today, several shells were fired by the Azerbaijani party at the village school, said Vilen Petrosyan, the head of the Talish community. According to his story, now some 10-15 villagers permanently live in the community without their families, the “Tert.am” reports.
