Residents of near-border villages in Nagorno-Karabakh call on to stop shelling
On September 24-25, in Nagorno-Karabakh, residents of the near-border villages of Madaghis and Talish suffered from one of the most intensive attacks in recent years. They called on the parties to the conflict to stop endangering the civilian population.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by Vilen Petrosyan, the head of the Talish community, that the missiles did not reach the village during the shelling and that no civilians fell victim to the attack.
"However, we have not seen such an intense and powerful rocket attack since the Karabakh war. At about 11:00 p.m. of September 24 and again in the evening on September 25, the Azerbaijani side fired missiles in the direction of the village. However, all the missiles flew over the village and landed in a field of almost a kilometer or behind a hill," said the head of the Talish community.
According to him, he was told at the district administration that "the terrain was shelled from jet missile systems."
Gayane Abramyan, the mother of three children, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she prepared their belongings and documents of her children to send them to their relatives in the city in case of danger.
"I want to appeal to the authorities of Azerbaijan, to our government, and to the world powers that influence the policy in the world and ask them to think of civilians," the woman says.
