Ruslan Djamaldinov charged of Amirkhan Kokurkhoev's murder
In Ingushetia, a court has pronounced the pre-trial restriction measure in the form of two-month detention against Ruslan Djamaldinov, charged of killing journalist Amirkhan Kokurkhoev. This was reported by an official of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 1, Amirkhan Kokurkhoev, the press secretary for the Sunzha District administration in Ingushetia, a presenter of a local TV Channel, was stabbed and died at hospital. According to investigators, the murder was committed as a result of a domestic conflict, and the main suspect was Rizvan Kotiev, a neighbour of Amirkhan Kokurkhoev. According to sources from the law enforcement bodies, Rizvan Kotiev fled together with his father Ruslan Djamaldinov.
On January 5, the police detained Ruslan Djamaldinov. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), he has confessed of the crime.
