Suspect of killing journalist Kokurkhoev named

On suspicion of murdering the Ingush TV presenter Amir Kokurkhoev, the police are looking for Rizvan Kotiev, a 26-year resident of the village of Nesterovskoe. Law enforcement bodies have appealed to local residents asking to help to detain the suspect.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Amir Kokurkhoev, the press secretary of the administration of the Sunzha District of Ingushetia and the programme presenter at the republic's television, was stabbed on January 1, and died in hospital. According to investigators, the murder was a result of a domestic conflict, and a Kokurkhoev's neighbour is the main suspect.

The suspect of the murder is Rizvan Kotiev, born in 1990, who actually was a Kokurkhoev's neighbour, said an Ingush law enforcement source. According to his version, Kotiev could escape from the scene along with his father, Ruslan Djamaldinoev.

The police have addressed residents of the republic and asked them to help in searching Kotiev, the "Interfax" reports, citing its law enforcement source.
