Azeri SSS reports killing of suicide bomber

In Baku, power agents have shot dead a local resident Emin Djami Azizaga oglu, who tried to detonate a suicide belt near the shopping centre, the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan has reported.

According to the SSS, the operation to detain the above citizen was held today near the "Bina" Shopping Centre.

According to power agents, in 2007, the 38-year-old Emin Djami Azizaga oglu was convicted for involvement in a terrorist organization. At the beginning of 2016, he got at large and "re-established his links with international terrorist organizations," says the SSS.

Emin Djami Azizaga oglu "had planned to commit terror and subversive acts in the territory of Azerbaijan by using firearms and explosive devices," says the message posted on the website of the Azeri SSS.

The message also notes that "in order to prevent crimes, in the morning on December 3, near the "Bina" Shopping Centre, a special operation was conducted to detain Emin Djami."

"At detention, he resisted and tried to trigger his 'shahid belt', but was shot dead by power agents," says the message.
