First court hearing into Rashid Evloev's case scheduled for July 12

At the preliminary court hearing in the case against Rashid Evloev, a native of the village of Maiskoe, accused of involvement in the activities of Syrian militants, the court has dismissed the request to exclude evidence treated by the defence as inadmissible.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 1, 2015, Rashid Evloev, a native of North-Ossetian village of Maiskoe, was extradited from Germany to Russia, where he was charged with completion of training for terrorist activities in Syria. The investigators have dismissed the defence's request to attach to the case the documents confirming the defendant's alibi.

On June 28, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don held a preliminary hearing in the case against Rashid Evloev. This was reported by Roza Magomedova, an advocate of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".

At the preliminary court hearing, the defence has filed a number of motions to exclude evidence because of its inadmissibility, reports Olga Shibkikh, a new advocate of Rashid Evloev.

According to the advocate, at the first court hearing in the case to be held on July 12, the public prosecution, represented by the Prosecutor of the Southern Federal District (SFD), will read out the charges against Rashid Evloev.
