Public Chamber of Volgograd Region reveals problems with investments in region

The Volgograd Region provides no conditions for the successful development of businesses, and no regional protectionism takes place there. This opinion was voiced by Andrei Kuprikov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Volgograd Region. Officials report on good indicators of investment activity, but note that only some entrepreneurs can receive support from the state.

The session of the Commission on the development of the real sector of the economy, urban policy, industry, commerce, small and medium-sized businesses on the investment climate in the region was held on June 29.

According to Sergey Vedeneev, Chairman of the Committee for Economy of the Volgograd Region, last year, 908 new entrepreneurs were registered in the region, with their total number reaching more than 60,000.

Following the results of the national rating of the investment climate, the Volgograd Region lost 12 positions, reports the Chairman of the Committee for Economy.

According to Sergey Vedeneev, in the past year, credit financing of businesses through commercial banks decreased by 25-30%.

The Chairman of the Committee for Economy has noted that the investment climate is the most painful issue for the region.
