61 people died in plane crash in Rostov-on-Don

Last night, a Boeing-737 of the "FlyDubai" airlines on route from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don, has crashed down while landing at the destination airport. After the fall, an explosion and fire occurred aboard. The fire was extinguished.

According to law enforcement sources, the main versions of the plane crash include crew error and bad weather conditions. All passengers and crew members were killed in the accident.

It has been preliminary found out that the Boeing-737 was carrying 61 people, including 55 passengers and six crew members, reports the today's message posted at 5:30 a.m. at the website of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).

The number of killed Boeing's passengers included Russian citizens, and the crew consisted of foreigners, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source from the MfE Department for the Rostov Region.

The passengers on board of the crashed plane were mostly residents of Rostov-on-Don, the "TASS" reports with reference to Igor Oder, the chief of the Southern Regional Centre of the Russian MfE.
