Grozny residents report night inspections of municipal servants

The work of collecting debts from consumers of utilities is carried out in the evening and at night, residents of Grozny assert. The night visits to debtors are a forced measure, said a source from the Mayoralty.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 16, the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov ordered to fully collect in Chechnya all the debts for electricity, gas and water accrued in 2015 till January 17, 2016. The spokesman from the Ministry of Housing and Utilities of Chechnya said that the republic's authorities have an agreement with the federal government that if the current debts are repaid, 24 billion roubles of debts that had accumulated during previous years would be written off from the republic.

The source from the Mayoralty of Grozny has stressed that "only those consumers who have debts amounting 6000 roubles and above" are disconnected from utility supplies.

Let us remind you that earlier the Mayoralty of Grozny reported that the townspeople's debts to resource-supplying organizations accumulated since May this year amounted to over 200 million roubles; and during the last three months 180 million roubles were collected from the debtors.
