Moscow hosts presentation of Alisa Ganieva's book on modern Dagestan "Bride and Groom"

In Moscow, Alisa Ganieva, a Dagestani writer, has presented her new book "Bride and Groom". The novel, which is included in the long lists of the Russian Booker and the Big Book Prizes," describes modern Dagestan, where traditional and contemporary communities go together. Book reviewers point out that the novel is of interest not only due to its attention to ethnographic details, but it also raises social and human problems.

The novel "Bride and Groom" was released by the publishing house "AST-Moscow". 2000 copies were published. This is the third major work created by Alisa Ganieva after her novels "Salam, Dalgat" ("Debut" Prize) and "Holiday Mountain".

When speaking at the presentation, Alexandra Leskovskaya, the editor of the publishing house "AST", has noted that the novel "Bride and Groom" is a book about youth and for youth. According to Alexandra Leskovskaya, the style of Alisa Ganieva "is unique in its brightness."

Book reviewer Valeria Pustovaya has noted that Alisa Ganieva "entered the literature in a way unusual for a female writer."
