Ingushetia returns two potential participants of war in Syria

Adam Tsechoev, the head of the administration of the Malgobek District of Ingushetia, has clarified that with the help of the adaptation commission they managed to return not one, but two local residents, who were going to take part in the warfare in Syria.

Earlier, it was reported that the above commission returned a local resident, who had been trained in Turkey for fighting in Syria, back to Ingushetia.

According to operative data, the young people were in Turkey looking for ways to get to the warfare in the neighbouring country. It was decided to talk to them with involvement of their relatives. Finally, they managed to convince the boys to return to Ingushetia and surrender to law enforcers.

Within a week, all the facts will be considered, and, most likely, it will be decided to involve the young men into adaptation to peaceful life, said Albert Barakhoev, the Acting Secretary of the Security Council of Ingushetia.

According to his story, during the working time of the commission – since May 30, 2011, – it managed to return home and adapt to civilian life 64 persons. The returned members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) are helped in finding employment through the Ministry of Labour and Social Development; if necessary, they are given a chance to get special training.

Mr Barakhoev also told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "to date, we can state a virtually complete liquidation of the armed underground in Ingushetia."
