Chechen MIA refers to clear ice and driver's mistake as reasons of road accident where power agents suffered

The Chechen law enforcement agencies have revealed the causes of a road accident, involving a military truck "Ural" in the north of the republic, which killed a local resident and injured seven power agents, that were security forces - is clear ice and wrong actions of the driver of the passenger car.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 30, at 5:30 p.m., on the section of the road "Chernokozovo-Alpatovo", the driver of a VAZ car perished in the road accident, involving the passenger car "VAZ-21010" and the armoured police vehicle. Seven police officers got serious injuries and bruises.

"Investigators revealed that the road accident was caused by clear ice on the road and the wrong actions of the driver of the passenger car. The car "VAZ" was moving at high speed, the driver lost control on a slippery road, and his car was driven to oncoming pathway," a staff member of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The representative of the law enforcement agencies also said that on January 29, five persons got serious injuries in two road accidents, involving six passenger cars, which occurred within the boundaries of the city of Grozny. All of them were hospitalized with injuries of various severities.

According to the GIBDD (road police) of the Chechen MIA, in 2011 in the territory of the republic, more than 400 road accidents occurred, which killed 227 persons, including 14 children and 10 women. About 700 persons, including 56 children, were wounded and got permanent injuries.
