Defence of arrested Putenikhin presents proofs to change freedom restriction measure

On November 23, the court of appeal received evidences from the advocate of Dmitry Putenikhin, the arrested activist of The Other Russia, which could affect the change of his pre-trial freedom restriction measure.

On October 28, Dmitry Putenikhin splashed out water in face of Prosecutor Alexei Smirnov, who represented the public prosecution at the trial of the riots in Manege Square. On November 1, the Tver Court pronounced a verdict on the conclusion of Dmitry Putenikhin in custody for two months. The decision was also justified by the fact that Dmitry Putenikhin had no registration in Moscow.

According to Chechen writer Arslan Khasavov, one of the organizers of the campaign to protect Dmitry Putenikhin, the lawyer Dagir Khasovov presented to the court a number of documents indicating the possibility of non-custodial pre-trial restrictions to Putenikhin.

According to Khasavov, all the presented documents have been attached to the case. However, today no decision has been made. Next court session was appointed for November 25, at 2:00 p.m.

Dmitry Putenikhin himself participated in the court session via video bridge, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
