The Italians are ready to invest into agro-industrial complex (AIC) of Dagestan

A presentation of a project of an agro-technical park “AgroDagItaly” passed off at an economical forum in Dagestan. Italian and Russian investors intend to invest over 14 billion rubles into the republican agriculture.

Umakhan Umakhanov, co-investor of the project, Chairman of Board of Directors of “Sovfreight-invest” limited company, told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that building the agro-technical park in Dagestan was secured by disbursement of capital investments to a sum of 14 billion rubles within 10 years and creation of integrated potential in plant growing, livestock sector, industry, wholesale and retail trade and industrial and social infrastructures.

“As an investor I got interested in the possibilities of implementation of most recent technologies in the agricultural sphere for facilitation of the peasants’ labour and raising the industry to a higher level”, Umakhan Umakhanov said.

The project stipulates building objects of agro-industrial breeding pedigree young animals, ecologically clean livestock production and its processing, high-quality agricultural seeds on a turnkey basis. Agro-technical park will be located in Northern and Southern low place areas of Dagestan and will be called “AgroDagItaly” agro-technical park.

First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Rizvan Kurbanov told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that the project stipulated creation of several thousand jobs, besides, new dwelling micro-districts would be built for the local residents working at the objects.
