Russia is planning to allot a new tranche to almost seven billion rubles to South Osetia

The Russian Federation is planning to allot 6,81 billion rubles on realization of an Investment program of assistance to South Osetia in 2011. This was reported by Minister of Regional Development Victor Basargin at a session of Intergovernmental Committee of the Russian Federation and South Osetia on July, 19.

The first part of the tranche to a sum of 1,45 billion rubles already came to the republic on June, 2.

The Russian Minister emphasized that South Osetia was entering a period of a postwar development and “its independence from Georgia in the sphere of delivery of electric power and natural gas was already ensured”.

During the session questions of preferences in a two-way trade were discussed and an order of taking over and assignation of objects erected by Federal State Institution “Southern Directorate of realization of programs and projects” was confirmed within the framework of the Instruction of the Government of the Russian Federation of December, 10, 2009.

Among the objects built by Federal State Institution “Southern Directorate” there are a highway Tskhinval-Leningor, distribution networks, water conduit Edis-Tskhinval as well as a high-voltage line from Dzomag to Rok tunnel, RSOnews reports.

The next session of the Committee will be held in Moscow in the beginning of October, ITAR-TASS reports.
