Commission on restoration of South Ossetia has completed its work

On February 25, Vladikavkaz hosted the third sitting of the intergovernmental commission on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia. It was stated that the Interdepartmental Commission (IDC) on restoration of South Ossetia had finished its work.

"We believe that this work during two years has been fully completed. We have prepared a decision to dissolve the IDC, and we get into a new phase of our inter-state cooperation. All the issues of the further comprehensive plan will be implemented through agreements," said Viktor Basargin, Russian Minister of Regional Development and chairman of the Russian part of the IDC.

Issues were addressed related to establishment of the due authorities in South Ossetia entrusted to implement the new investment program; in 2011, 6.8 billion roubles will be allotted to implement it.
