MIA: unidentified persons tried to blow up courthouse in Malgobek

Last night at the courthouse, located in the centre of the city of Malgobek, the unidentified persons put in operation an explosive device with power of about 10 kilograms in TNT equivalent, and then they shot three times from the grenade launcher to the courthouse, reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia.

According to Aliy Ozdoev, the representative of the Judicial Department in Ingushetia, about 23:30 Moscow time the unidentified persons also made two shots from the grenade launchers to the courthouse; in the result of shelling nobody was injured, but the building suffered considerable damage, in particular, the windows are broken.

"Some time after the shelling an explosive device was put in operation across the street from the courthouse, and the building was also damaged by its blast wave," said Mr Ozdoev.

"Materials of civil and criminal cases were not damaged in these two attempts. Now we calculate the damage inflicted on the courthouse. The law enforcement and investigative groups work at the place," quotes the RIA "Novosti" Mr Ozdoev as saying.

An explosive device was a metal bucket with explosives and additional striking elements, the "Radio Svoboda" (Radio Freedom) reports.
