Head of Ingushetia promises safety to militants who return to peaceful life

The head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov held a meeting in the city of Magas with relatives of the young people, who, according to law enforcement bodies, had left their home to join illegal armed formations (IAFs). Evkurov urged parents to persuade their children to leave "the forest".

Relatives of Magomed Evloev, who committed, under the version of the investigation, the terror act in the "Domodedovo" Airport, were also invited to the meeting.

According to the head of Ingushetia, the problem of the terror threat should be addressed jointly by the authorities and the society. "If you, parents, can't influence a member of your family, who is out of your parental obedience, invoke your neighbours, relatives, authorities and society. Find courage to admit that your son is a public threat. Let people know about it and shield their children from his hazardous influence," said Evkurov.

By the end of the meeting that was held on June 11, the head of the republic persistently urged parents and relatives of the young people who had left home to join IAFs or those already members of them, to find them and convince to return back to civilian life. "I guarantee their security and ensure their legitimate rights," said Yunus-Bek Evkurov.
