Dagestan: local resident Davud Israpilov was kidnapped by men in civilian clothes, eyewitness says

One of the passengers of a fixed-route taxi in Makhachkala told Magomed Yusupov, a resident of the village of Khutrakh, Tsuntin District, that on June 24 he became an involuntary eyewitness of kidnapping of the latter's nephew, Davud Israpilov by unidentified men in civilian clothes.

Magomed Yusupov retold the eyewitness' story to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent: "During all this time we were looking for our nephew and for the eyewitnesses, who were the last to see him. One of the passengers of the fixed-route taxi No. 6 said that he saw Davud entering the van. A few minutes later in Magomed Gadjiev Street, the taxi van was blocked by a Lada-9 car. Several men in civilian clothes got out of it and entered the saloon of the taxi. They quickly examined the passengers; immediately recognized the nephew; dragged him away, handcuffed and pushed into their car. Then, the car gathered speed and left in direction of the centre of Makhachkala."

Magomed has no idea on where his nephew could disappear; however, he draws attention to the fact that Davud had been under close attention of law enforcement bodies.

"Davud is a good Muslim. He was repeatedly summoned for questioning to the Tsuntin ROVD (District Interior Division); although he had been involved in nowhere, and was not registered by the police," said Magomed Yusupov.
