Actions of memory of the victims of the act of terror in Domodedovo passed off in cities and towns of Russia

Yesterday evening, January, 27, residents of Russian cities and towns lit candles and honoured the memory of the people who perished as a result of the terror act in Moscow airport Domodedovo on January, 24, with a minute's silence. Mourning actions in different places of Russia were organized by youth political and non-governmental organizations and users of social networks as well.

"Caucasian Knot" has formerly reported that several thousand Muscovites came to Pushkin square of Moscow on January, 27, to honour the memory of the victims of terror act in Domodedovo airport.

A similar action passed off in Lipetsk on Wednesday: at 16:32 Moscow time schoolchildren and students of Lipetsk gathered in the Upper park near the memorial to children who perished in the years of the war. Each of them brought 35 red carnations and candles, according to the number of the victims of terror in Domodedovo. After a minute's silence they lay flowers at the foot of the memorial and burning candles were lined up in the snow at the pedestal. The mourning meeting in Lipetsk was organized within the framework of the All-Russian action of the "Younger Guards of United Russia", portal "Gorod-48" reports.

Residents of Blagoveshensk also lit candles in memory of the victims of terror in Domodedovo airport. Several tens residents of Amur region responded to the All-Russian action "Generation against terror". The action was organized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Blagoveshensk youth organizations. Leaflets on the measures of preventing terror were distributed among the participants who honoured the memory of the victims with a minute's silence and lit candles, IA "Amur.info" reports.

On January, 27, residents of Saratov held a mourning meeting, too. At about 16:30 young people started gathering near the chapel in Theatre square. Some of them were holding state flags, others were lighting icon lamps, 35 fires all in all. After a minute's silence the lamps were put on the church porch of the chapel, "Komsomolskaya Pravda of Saratov" reports.

Candles were lit in memory of the victims of terror in Moscow in Novosibirsk, too. Residents of Novosibirsk held their action near the Museum of Local Lore bringing candles and small glasses to put them in, "Gorod-54" portal writes. Candles were also left in a hollow in a wall of the Museum building. The meeting was broadly announced and highlighted on the internet, in particular, in the social network "VKontakte". Participants of the action who had gathered generally through social networks said that lighting a candle they were condoling with the grief of those who had lost their people in the explosion", RIA "Novosti" reports.

In Tumen an action of memory of the victims of terror in Domodedovo will be held on Saturday, January, 29. Activists of youth section of LDPR party and townsmen will leave 35 candles in Pamiaty square and honour the victims of the explosion with a minute's silence. The action will start at 16:32 Moscow time in Pamiaty square, Тumix.ru reports.

It should be mentioned that on January, 27, the victims of terror in Moscow airport Domodedovo were memorized not only in Russian cities and towns but abroad, too. In particular, tens residents of Kishenev brought fresh flowers and wreaths to the Embassy of Russia in Moldova as a sign of condolence.

According to one of the participants of this distinctive memory action, "grief is never alien". "This is a tragedy that does not touch upon one people or country only but involves the whole World community. There were not only Russians, Austrians and Britons among the victims but also two citizens of Moldova. This is our common pain and we are ready to share it with the great Russia", "Novy Region - Kishenev" quotes this person. Alexander Shevchenko, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, came out to meet the participants of the action and on behalf of Russian people thanked the citizens of Moldova "for their sincere feelings", "Novosti-Moldova" reports.

35 persons perished as a result of terror, 125 people, citizens of Russia and 14 more countries, are currently in hospitals. Mourning day for the victims has been announced on January, 27. Burial will pass off in Moscow today.

The youngest victim of terror in Domodedovo, Irina Petrunina, was 19. The eldest, Nicolay Yurashku, was 86. The family of Nicolay Vasilievich lost three men in this terror act: two of his sons-in-law perished together with Yurashku.
