In Grozny, militia looks for persons who prepared terror act in marketplace
So far, the search of the persons who had prepared a terror act on September 19 in a shopping centre in Grozny, which was prevented, is fruitless. Power agents do not exclude that the act was aimed to disrupt the celebrations on the local Women's Day.
A source from the Chechen MIA has reminded the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on September 19, in the "Berkat" shopping centre, a powerful self-made bomb was detected by militiamen under the metal casing of one of shopping pavilions. It comprised of a plastic container filled with 600 grams of TNT (trotyl), equipped with an electric detonator and a mobile telephone for remote triggering. The bomb was stuffed with nails to act as striking elements.
"The bomb was de-mined by sappers. Currently, steps are taken to find the culprits. A criminal case has been initiated," a militia officer said.
