Residents of Zolskiy District of Kabardino-Balkaria hope to have better water supply from waterfall

The water supply problems of all the 15 villages of the Zolskiy District, where they feel deficit of potable water, may be solved only after development of Gedmikhsh waterfall. This is the opinion of the head of the administration of Shordakovo village, where residents addressed human rights activists with a complaint on absence of water.

Mukhamed Dolov, head of Shordakovo, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the problem mentioned by villagers in their complaint had existed for about 15 years. Last year two kilometres of shabby pipelines were replaced; however, it was not a remedy, since the power of the available spring is just not enough for all.

According to the administration head, the water supply problem in the district can be solved by using water from the Gedmikhsh water in the Malka River, which was studied back from the "tsarist times". Now, the road worth 40 million roubles has been built to the waterfall. The next step will be laying pipes.
