In South Ossetia, Russian frontier guards detain Georgian citizens

As reported by the press service of the KGB of South Ossetia, on July 18, six citizens of Georgia were detained by servicemen of the Frontier Department of the Russian FSB in South Ossetia for illegal border crossing in the Znaur District of this republic.

"Labadze, Yamze Petrovna, born in 1978; Samkharadze, Alik Yurievich, born in 1976; Labadze, Ramaz Petrovich, born in 1976; Samkharadze, Besik Yurievich, born in 1982; Kalatozeshvili, Nikoloz Shakroevich, born in 1983; and Khomasuridze, Nargiza Arsenovna, born in 1967, tried to drive, by bypassing the established check points, to the Karelian District of Georgia," the press service has reported.

The detainees were handed over by Russian frontier guards to their South-Ossetian colleagues, and are now are under inquiry. After all the circumstances of the incident are clarified, the case will be sent to the court for decision-making.
