Krasnodar Prosecutor's Office apologizes to rights defender Anastasia Denisova

The Prosecutor's Office of the Zapadny District of the city of Krasnodar has delivered official apologies to Anastasia Denisova, head of the human rights NGO named "ETnIKa" for illegal criminal prosecution.

As reported by Anastasia, during six months of her struggle against illegal claims and persecution of prosecutors, forced participation in the criminal case and litigation as an accused person and defendant, she lived through nervous stress and is now taking a course of therapy.

"When my lawyer was informed that certain apologies were sent to me, I waited for some time hoping to see them; but nothing arrived by mail. Then I sent a letter to the Prosecutor's Office asking them to send the document to me, about which my defender was informed. After a while my request was satisfied. For me it was morally important to receive these apologies and act of justice, since I wasn't guilty of anything," said Denisova.

In the opinion of human rights activists, Anastasia Denisova's criminal prosecution has to do with her public activities, and her criminal case is just an episode in the whole chain of pressure cases.
