Wounded women in Nazran were militant's helpers, Ingush DFSB asserts

As reported by the spokesman of the Department of the FSB (DFSB) for Ingushetia, the two women injured today in the course of a special operation in central Nazran (one of them later died in hospital), were helpers of Magomed Gardanov, leader of Ingush armed underground, liquidated in the skirmish.

Let us remind you that today in Nazran a fight burst out with a suspected militant who tried to hide in a mosque. As a result of the skirmish, according to law enforcement bodies, Magomed Gardanov, one of the leaders of armed underground, was killed. Three more residents of Nazran - two women and a teenager - were injured, a woman later died in hospital.

"FSB units, acting together with subdivisions of Internal Troops of the Russian MIA, have conducted actions aimed to detain Gardanov, Magomed Ahmedovich, born in 1984, one of odious leaders of the bandit underground of Northern Caucasus, who was involved, by the available data, in preparing and committing a series of resonant subversive and terrorist acts in the territory of Ingushetia," said the DFSB spokesman.

He has reported that Gardanov is suspected of preparing and executing over 20 crimes, including armed attacks on stationary militia posts, shelling of militiamen, civilians, private households, and money extortion, the "Gazera.Ru" writes.

Earlier, the DFSB has reported that Gardanov was the organizer of the terror act in the Karabulak GOVD (City Interior Division), was involved in blowing up the Nazran GOVD and the attack on cash collectors this April when the driver of the crew was killed.

Meanwhile, President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov did not exclude, when speaking on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio, that the liquidated Magomed Gardanov could be preparing terror acts to be committed on May 9.
