All the victims of mass poisoning in Dagestan leave hospital

All the residents of Buinaksk (Dagestan) who got poisoned by poor-quality confectionery products were rendered medical aid and discharged from hospital. The Republic's "Rospotrebnadzor" (Branch of Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Goods) has applied to the court on temporary stop on operation of the confectionery shop, which had produced the substandard products.

We remind you that during May 12-15 in Buinaksk in total 23 persons addressed for help to the infection ward of the city hospital. Of them 13 persons, including 6 children, were hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis "food toxinfection".

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the "Rospotrebnadzor" of Dagestan that under preliminary data of epidemiological investigation it was established the cause of food poisoning was the pie named "Cheese-and-curd cake" with scalded cream, which the victims bought at the "Rahat Lakoum" confectionery shop.

The inspection of sanitary doctors has revealed that the shop functioned without the due sanitary-and-epidemiologic conclusion, while the personnel did not pass the required medical examination.

"The laboratory-instrumental examination of the environment, equipment and personnel of the above shop revealed non-compliance with hygienic requirements in 80% of studied samples; in one worker Staphylococcus aureus was detected," the "Rospotrebnadzor" branch told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
