Mother of Guantanamo prisoner Kudaev detained in Kabardino-Balkaria

On February 14, Fatima Tekaeva, mother of Rasul Kudaev, a defendant in the criminal case on the events on October 13, 2005, was detained in the city of Nalchik.

Ms Tekaeva has told about the circumstances of her detention: "In the morning when I was going to my work at a rural ambulance station of Khasanya village, two men in masks took me by my arms from behind, lifted up and put into a car. It all happened in the eyes of my fellow villagers. I tried to resist and cry, but they wouldn't stop.

I was brought to Centre 'Т' and kept for 6 hours there. My senior son Arsen was also brought there and beaten.

They asked me about the murder of the hunters, the murder of Kyarov and about events in Chechnya and Ingushetia.

When we returned home in the evening, we saw that our house was searched during our absence, everything was turned upside down, and they took away the materials of the criminal case against my son Rasul Kudaev and our computer.

I still don't know whether any witnesses were present at the search, and whether the operative agents had a search warrant and made a confiscation protocol or certificate."

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent tried to get any comments at the press service of the Centre "Т", however, it was impossible. "We make no comments," they told her and put the phone down.
