Azerbaijani ex-Minister of Public Health sent back from prison hospital to colony
Today, Ali Insanov, former Minister of Public Health of Azerbaijan, was transferred from the medical establishment of the Penitentiary Service back to Colony No. 13, where he serves his 11 years of imprisonment after being sentenced for committing economic crimes.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Togrul Babaev, Mr Insanov's advocate that "the treatment was not over and gave no effect." The lawyer addressed in writing Rafael Mekhtiev, head of the medical institution of the Penitentiary Service, and asked to explain "the reason of the half-faced treatment." Mr Babaev has noted that Insanov it still suffering from backbone pains.
The PR Division of the Penitentiary Service has refrained from any comments on the advocate's statement, having referred to "the absence of information."
